There were few complete effects on show although the standing card is worth the price of admission.
I loved the chalk board effect (which you’d have to build yourself).
What we got was a 3
hour conversation full of great insights and a look at Gaetons way of thinking. We got a few
examples of how he’d taken an existing trick and improved it. This was all wonderful stuff.
He recounted stories from his career which I found relatively interesting although your mileage
may vary.
Gaeton was ill on the day of filming but persevered and there isn’t too much
impact. Dan interacted well with him to keep things flowing.
The audience were a bit meh. I
assume they’re all magicians but they didn’t come across as overly enthused. I’m not asking for L&L
levels of insanity but it does impact on the whole lecture if they’re not into things.
