I think calling this soft or vinyl is a little deceptive. I was looking for a thumbtip that has some stretch or give to expand my use of them. This however is very hard, the material is not dissimilar to the standard Vernet thumb.
It does have a larger load space than the classic tt though and for that reason I will certainly use it, just not for the purpose I brought it for.
