Definitely get Chris Carter’s first lecture. This one was a letdown. It’s comprised of bits he
“dusted off” (ie no longer performs), none of which felt like a good fit for me. He expresses in
both lectures that the only real trick in mentalism is Q&A, so one wishes he’d talk about that.
Memories- requires an audience that does not know each other, a classic magic prop, and 50
novelty scrabble tiles from Etsy.
Key-Know- I liked this, but it requires you to wear a
jacket, as well as a (different) classic magic prop.
Paintball- requires the guns, and a
preshow chat with whomever is shooting at you.
Jack Spade- is a card trick.
Telepathy/ GeoPsycho- are two tricks using the same method, which involves a card force and
another prop. It feels less hands-off than other methods of ascertaining the same information.
Certainly get his first lecture- this one feels less necessary.
