The secret of this trick comes from your handling, and you are given five different ways of
performing the peek (of course, you'll come up with a few as you do it). You can leave the pad in
the spectator's hands to write their number, or you can hold it like they do in the video. It is
such a small prop with huge potential.
Yes, the size of the pad makes it a little limiting
on what they can write, but it also makes sure you only need a moment to know what they wrote. While
you can do drawings, I imagine most people will go with numbers or short words.
I hope
they come out with this in a larger size to give you more options. There's really no reason I can
see that they wouldn't be able to as the method works regardless of size. The refills needed are
very inexpensive to acquire and you can have enough for a hundred performances for less than ten
dollars.
For the pocket space this takes up (plus the needed refills), you'll have a lot
of magic in your hands.
