The special something used on the cards is nothing new to Pro's like myself, however, it has its own
issues and makes this effect a real pain.
You have to "redo" the cards every dozen or so
performances, more-so on the white and colored cards than the black ones. I wish the creator of the
"stuff" would create a better product.
None the less, the trick is still better than the
ESP cards which are a pain to see in dim light.
I agree, the necessary item makes the outcome too inconsistent for me
Same goes for me. Another over-hyped trick which doesn't deserve the praise because of the "stuff" not working properly. I have to redo the cards every 3 or 4 times I present it because two things happen. The "stuff" gathers in little black balls. They look like specks of dirt on all the white cards.
After just two performances they have to be wiped off. Then they rub off on other cards and everything has to be cleaned and redone. It's a pain. And you Can NOT spread these cards in your hand like he does because they WILL split.
So, you're right back to using a table. It's the only safe method I trust. Even then, you must be careful in handling them. I think I'm going to ditch the roughing stick for good because it does the same thing to other card tricks which require it. I'm going back to hairspray. Works like a charm.
