I’m only a hobbyist, but, I buy tons of magic every year. I only complain when I feel the product
is defective or the ad is seriously misleading. In the case of Miracle One, only the most perfect of
outcomes were shown. The ad intimated that would always be what happened. That is very far from the
truth.
The vast majority of magicians already own the items necessary to perform the
trick. It could have easily been sold as a download. There is nothing new or special in the provided
decks. $75 is an exorbitant amount of money to pay for what is received. Brent Braun’s Position
Impossible allows for an actual 1-52 selection and is priced at only $40.
Christian Grace’s
Inevitable Choice is a much better trick that performs the same as it looks on the trailer. Again,
the deck is nothing special, but the clever touches Christian throws in makes it a winner purely by
means of the intellectual property.
I agree with you Christian. I want to add that the great Al Baker published the same effect in his first book in 1933 ! The effect was called ''A Card and a Number'' Any card can be used and any number can be chosen, no exceptions. Both decks are regular and can be examined. As a matter of fact, both decks can be given to the spectator at the end or used for the rest of your show. Al Baker used ''A Card and a Number'' as his opener. I have been performing Baker's version with a twist that Allan Ackerman uses with great success.
