First of all let me say that this does have a few good ideas but they aren't worth the price of the
book in my opinion. One of the first things he does is tell you to not low ball your pricing and
then almost immediately says to low ball your pricing so you can "stay booked" if the opportunity
presents itself. It gets worse when you realize that I make more in an hour than he talks about
making in a week many times, and I just started marketing myself. He acts like you need more clients
but what you need is a better class of client and more of them but he doesn't really concentrate on
that at all. Even worse is that his rates are kinda pitiful. As a magician you need to be able to
turn people down and make yourself ever so slightly inaccessible financially. This separates you
from the hobbyist who does the occasional party, and you will get much greater returns by doing so.
People often want what they can't have, and that might as well be you.
Now let me get
nitpicky. The author didn't use a spellchecker nor did he utilize any form of editor or proofreader
and that is kinda distracting to be honest. I'm assuming that "50K" seems impressive to him but I'll
be working 1/3 of what he does and make twice as much.
