One of my favorite genres in magic to perform is Rope Magic, but I have never performed with a rope
that doesn't have a core. I haven't opened the bag yet because the rope looks so flimsy that I may
want to exchange it for rope with a core. This "no core" rope looks perfect for cut & restore
routines, but I don't like doing that kind of magic as much as I like the non-cut routines. So,
before I decide to keep it or send it back, I'd like to get some advice from some real rope
magicians.
Is this very limp rope (non-core) a good choice for all types of rope Magic or
is it better served for tricks requiring it to be cut with scissors? For the tricks I like to do, I
would think the rope would need to have a little more stiffness to it.
Thanks for any
advice yall can give me with this.
