I charged for 30 minutes (recommended time) and it worked. Turned it off and now it won't turn on or
hold a charge. Works while plugged in, so I know the remote and device work, just that the battery
doesn't hold a charge. This is a known issue that was supposedly fixed in 2021 so maybe these are
the old, defective devices. Either way, I've contacted support for a solution and will update my
review when it's fixed.
I definitely want to know how Penguin dealt with your situation. Electric gimmicks can be tricky sometimes. Please keep us posted!
Penguin sent me a replacement. It works, and seems to hold a charge for a day or so. Not reliable enough for me to use as a performance piece, which is very sad, especially at the price point. I'm very disappointed in the product, but happy overall with Penguin, as it wasn't their fault and they did their best to fix the issue.
I'm confused why you say you could not use in a performance when you stated the battery charge lasted over a day? Worst case wouldn't you just charge it the day prior to a performance or even a few hours before?
