I think I’ve come to the conclusion that Murphy’s is especially bad at manufacturing decks that
utilize this type of gimmick. The deck I received is completely unusable. Half of the cards were not
prepared correctly. The deck smelled bad, which is an indication of rushed manufacturing. I’ve had
this same experience with at least two other products that Murphys makes in house within this family
of methods.
However, I fully expected this deck to be terrible, and I purchased anyway so
that I could learn how to manufacture my own with a similar but different gimmick. The deck I made
works like a dream, and I love this effect tremendously. I would have definitely preferred to
purchase just the instructions to this since I knew the supplied deck was going to be prepared
poorly. But oh well, overall I’m not disappointed. It would just have been nice to have included a
functional deck.
