First of all, Roberto is a legend and everyone should own all of his books. However… something
sneaky happened in this trailer. This trick fooled me badly only because he wrote the predictions as
Dan was shuffling. I bought the book right away because I thought this aspect was the variant.
Sadly, this was not the case. You still need to glimpse the top and bottom cards AFTER they shuffle.
In this video, it was staged. Roberto had already placed his predictions on the top and bottom of
the deck and then told Dan (before filming) to give the deck a top and bottom retention shuffle. Is
this a deal breaker? I don’t know. But it’s incredibly misleading and I felt let down. But at the
end of the day, a laymen will remember it the same way. In any case, the material in the book
otherwise is top notch.
