If you are an admirer of Ed Marlo, this book (and Vol 2) is a must have for your magic book
collection.
M.I.N.T. is an acronym for Marlo In New Tops, a monthly magazine which Marlo
was a regular contributor. There is already a lot about how this book came to be, so I'll skip to
one of my favorite pieces.
A audience member is asked to "think" of a card. In order to
give other audience members a clue as to the card, the person is asked to count the number of cards
from the top of the deck to the bottom silently and while your back is turned.
The deck is
shuffled then a few cards are dealt onto the table. The spectator is asked to pick one of the cards
and when it's turned over, it's revealed as the thought of card.
This book is a gem in any
magic book collection and I strongly recommend it to general magic and card afficionados.
