This is a great book, however the reason I only gave it 4/5 stars is a feel it's rather over priced
for a manuscript of only 65 pages and contains no insider secrets on performing any particular
effects. I have a great love and appreciation for Richard Osterland as mentalist and performer and
have learned a great deal from his work over the years. This book serves as an excellent reminder on
how we as performers (particularly mentalists) should be using words to engage with our audience.
You will, UNDOUBTABLY, become better at engaging with your audience after studying this text. That
said, $40 is particularly steep, in my opinion, for a text this short. I had purchased my copy of
Showmanship for Magicians by Fitzkee for only $20 new, and that book is more than twice the size and
still quite relevant.
