Magic Tricks

This deck is way worth the price.

The images are crisp, the detailing is sharp - outstanding considering the card's dimensions. Card stock is fine, the embossed finish gives the cards a real linen feel. The box is nicely done graphically, but it could be a bit more sturdy in terms of the material; repetitive opening and closing might lead to a breakdown. Treat the box gently if intending to use the deck on a regular basis. Otherwise, it's fine if purchasing the deck for a collection, or, a very nice conversation piece.

Overall, this reproduction of Cotta's Almanac #1 Transformation Playing Cards is quite well done. As an example of the transformation card concept it's exceptional - the images are thought provoking and actually pretty brilliant.

I give a 4-star rating only because I'd like to see the deck in a bit larger size than poker, and, the somewhat fragile box isn't quite up to my intended use of the deck.
