I agree with Angelo, that it is a weakness of the most popular book test that the first attempt to
guess information will be seen as a miss. I have avoided the MOABT simply because I didn't like
having to ask for information, like I didn't know what the spectator is thinking. Angelo's
ingenious method makes that first interaction a hit, not a miss. Simply brilliant.
Also,
Angelo wrote this book. It is readable. It is a snoozer, but if someone starts to read a page, it
isn't going to be meaningless drivel, but will actually seem like it is part of a story. This is
huge to me as I plan on leaving to book laying around the house and get into it organically.
Last, but not least, the words. Can't give up the method here, but the spectator has a free
choice of numerous words to think of, some of them common, some not so common, which I think is a
huge win. The spectator can think of a commonplace word, or a fairly unique word to the story, and
you will still be able to read their mind.
If the price is keeping you from buying this,
just remember that the pocket edition of the MOABT is double the price of this book.
