Performing a Faro shuffle is not easy because it requires extreme precision, especially for the 1st
half of the shuffle in many routines. Any advantages that a deck of card could provide would be of
great value. That's why I purchased the crushed Bicycle deck believing the promotion that such a
deck containing slightly thinner cards would make it easier to Faro shuffle.
Actually, to
my disappointment, the new deck was much more difficult to Faro shuffle (from top to bottom. as I
learned to do). When I inverted the deck and Faro shuffled the cards face up, the shuffle became
easier but not one that I would do in my performances.
I did not find that in any other way
that the deck offered any advantages, either.
Bicycle cards are my standard but I would
never get another crushed deck.
