This deck is a cool idea. I couldn’t care less about Rubik’s Cubes and cube related magic. I got
this deck to use in place of an ESP deck for Mentalism effects. And it does work for that. Any
routine you can do with an ESP deck, you can do with this deck. There are six colors, so if you use
it in place of an ESP deck, you will have to remove either one color of your choice, or adapt your
routine(s) to utilize six cards rather than the standard five.
The tuck box it comes in is
perfect, as it looks like what it’s supposed to be.
Let’s talk about the markings. I am in my
50s. I have great vision, (thanks to LASIK in my 30s), but still need reading glasses for small
print. I use several different marked decks and do not require my glasses. That is not the case with
these cards. The markings are fine if your vision is good, but they’re very small and if your vision
is lacking, you may have trouble with these markings. If you perform in low light, you may have
trouble distinguishing between a couple of the colors, (the markings not ‘readers’, but the marks
are the same color as the card you’re needing to read). If used in a stack, the markings can be
used to determine not just the card itself, but the card precious and after.
As much as I
really like this deck, I am unfortunately not going to get to use it as often as I want to, as I’m
having trouble with the tiny markings.
