First and foremost the deck is great. You can read the markings from 5 feet away. And, as usual the
service from Penguin Magic was fast and courteous, 5/stars for both. However Magic World, the
manufacturer only gets 3 stars. The deck comes with a website access code that allows you see the 4
tricks that are included as well as a video explaining the markings and the background on how the
court cards came about. At the very end of the video they mention that the deck has a very devious
one-way marking…but they don’t tell you what it is. To get it you have to join their Facebook group.
For the $40 I spent on this deck I expect to get everything there is to know, no strings attached. I
did join the Facebook group and got the answer. I will leave it up to you to decide what you want to
do. I will say it is a somewhat odd system in that the markings are somewhat random. Of the 23 cards
that have an up/down orientation 13 are marked one way and the other 10 are just the opposite. So
the deck is a 5 and Magic World is a 3
