This is a quite beautiful deck, and were it not for one design flaw it would easily be a 5 star
deck. And while most of the Marked Paisleys probably don’t have this flaw , this deck, and I
suspect, the blue version do. The marking system is a familiar one. The marks for value are
exceptionally easy to read, but the marks for suit is another matter. After struggling to find the
suit marks I went to the Paisley website which showed its location and the picture they showed was a
black and white version of the deck. In that photo the marks could be clearly seen and the system
quite simple. I suspect that on some of the Paisley variants with more vibrant and contrasting
colors these marks would be readily visible. But on this deck the colors are all soft pastels and
the difference between a soft pastel pink and a soft pastel rose is negligible. Even under bright
light it was too difficult to see to make this deck useable for marked card tricks. I finally
created my own marks which blended in nicely with the deck design.
