This specially marked deck is great in bright lighting. I tried to use it in a walk around where
there wasn't bright lighting and could not see the marks correctly. This can be used in social media
and on stage only. Close up if you have the right lighting, and even then, it's sometimes difficult
to read. It goes into my drawer of never used tricks.
Personally I use it all the time at close up gigs. Only once have I ever been in a disco area with no lighting and decided not to use it. There’s usually a light source somewhere to help you. The white background helps the marks to really stand out.
Perhaps it’s not the lighting. Maybe a new eyeglass prescription is needed.
I found that lighting is more of an issue when trying to locate hearts (A-K of hearts) and as the deck ages and the sides turn slightly grey (like normal Bicycle cards do not stay snow white either on the side edges).
In general, I like the deck and will continue using it simple because of the unique properties of this marking style.
