Part of my job for Penguin Magic is to look for amazing, new items for our customers. But every once
in a while I run into something that I have overlooked from the past. Nick Einhorn and Antonio
Romero's Bill to Marker is just such an item. I recently had to to a short 20-minute stand up show
in front of about 50-75 people. I used the Bill to Marker to close the show and it just slayed them.
Imagine having a bunch of people sign a bill all through the show. The bill covered with signatures
vanishes and appears inside the marker they have all been using to sign the bill. The audience
erupted after I asked the person holding the marker to open the ink chamber. As he dumped the bill
out of the marker, some of the audience members literally screamed. It was like the street reactions
you see on TV specials. "No F#'n Way!!!!" For me, the stand out points, in addition to the strength
of the effect, are how easy it is to do, how easy it is to get the markers, the practicality, the
packs small plays huge feature, and the dependability. There is almost nothing stronger you can use
to close your show. After my experience with this item I knew I had to work with Nick to bring it
Penguin Magic customers.
BTW... the markers are readily available on Amazon and I got mine
at a local stationary store. I even saw them at a local pharmacy last week. They have become more
common than the Sharpies and in my opinion, offer a better load of the bill.
