This is a great effect, as are most Craig Petty effects.
I give this 4 stars because it
does a great job at getting the spectators involved more even if they are initially standoff-ish.
Reading the instructions or having THEM read the instructions is GREAT.
The gimmick is not
exactly brand new or ground-breaking but as I said it helps to get the crowd involved so, imo, it
fulfills it's job.
Here is the thing though, for the price let's look at what you "get" or
what is required and what the POV from the specs is.
required:
you to carry 1 thing
extra with your standard deck of cards.
POV of spec:
they select ANY CARD.
we
read the instructions
they shuffle the deck
another spec or them think of any number and
deal down to that number
the selected card is at the dealt number (ANY number)
So it
DOES what it advertises.
But for the price, it would be better, imo, to go with Joel
Dickinson's "Incaantation" as it too:
requires:
1 addition to a normal deck of cards
POV from spec:
same as above WITHOUT the instructions and getting them involved deeper
BUT it allows for a prediction of sorts and you do not need to worry about the WEAR of a
gimmick, as Incaantation is gimmickLESS and uses what you already have in your drawer (no arts and
crafts).
CONCLUSION:
- A great addition to your CAAN arsenal if you have the money for
it
- If just starting or strained on money go with Incaantation here on PM for only $6
