I loved this video, I have it on VHS, and highly recommend it. It's about time they put this on DVD! He also gives you his suggested source of invisible thread. Very talented, 5 Thumbs Up!

If you have this on VHS tape, then it's about 15 years old, I'm guessing. His sources of IT are old & outdated & so are his hook-up methods along with the manufacturing process. IT has come a long way since those old days.

Steve Fearson's patented hook-up system is world-renowned & allows for effects never before possible. It's a toss-up between the quality of Fearson's IT & Yigal Mesika's. It is my educated opinion that Fearson's stage IT is the strongest available to date, while Yigal's, because of its thinness, is much better suited for close-up and situations where lighting could be a problem. But, you trade off its weight lifting capabilities and subsequent breakage point. Yigal's Elastics also now come in a 100 foot single-thread container for easy handling. It's highly regarded as the most invisible IT ever made.

But, the Cadillac of systems, IMHO because I have them all, is Venom, a mechanical system which uses two, independent reels. Made by the Magic Factory out of France, this unique design allows for mind-blowing effects never before seen in the magic community. Check 'em out. Btw, I can't believe Penguin still sells this antiquated IT work. There's a few useful tips that are good but not worth $35.
