First off, I need to say, Craigs style and presentation on the DVD really grated with me, I don't
know if he was nervous because of the DVD or what, but something about the performances doesnt quite
seem comfortable. the volunteers also seem reluctant to be taking part, which is a shame.
However, the important part of the DVD is the subject, and what it attempts to teach you. This
is good, and some of the routines are very well thought out. I'd strip down teh patter and recreate
it to suit my own style, but Craigs isnt here to teach us how to talk, he's here to teach us how to
perform a trick.
I wouldnt say that the DVD is the most complicated in the world, indeed, I
watched the performances and almost had no need to watch the explanations, as I could spot most of
the "moves". This isnt a slight on Craig, as I'd suspect any regular magician could spot them, but
any layperson will be a million miles off the scent.
All in all, you'll come away with some
nice tricks, and learn some new stuff, but make sure you are prepared to bring your own style to the
performance.
