Osterlind's Mind Mysteries DVD set is a fantastic set of mentalism DVDs. Some of my favorite effects
in volume 3 include:
1. Sweeter and Lower
I wouldn't really consider this a mentalism
routine, but this is a great magic routine. The spectator signs a sugar packet. The magician tears
open the packet and pours out the contents. He then restores everything back to normal (including
the sugar back into the packet) and hands the signed packet back to the spectator. This is not
difficult to perform. and is a very strong piece of magic.
2. Radio Sum Total
This is
perhaps my favorite routine in the set. A stack of numbers are displayed. The audience then yells
random digits until a list of random digits is generated. The stack of numbers that have been on
display are added together and equal the random number that was generated from the audience. The
audience has a free choice of the numbers, and the numbers on display really do add up to the
generated number.
