After having seen the demo on youtube I jumped at the chance to buy this, and I was disappointed when I saw what the gimmick was. However I played around with it and filmed myself performing it a few times and it does actually look pretty awesome. Once again John Kennedy has overpriced his product, but if this sort of trick suits you then I would go for it (just be prepared to be a little disappointed by the gimmick).
