You can look at this one two ways: you can either say it's a brilliant method for obtaining a peek
that will fly right past anyone; at the same time, you can say it's complete overkill for what
you're trying to do.
The construction of the gimmick isn't really all that difficult, but
it is a bit tedious, and there are one or two little tricky spots... and if you find yourself
accidentally ripping the cellophane as you're trying to put this thing together, you may find
yourself inventing some 4-letter words you never knew existed.
By the time you're done,
you'll have a great peek gimmick, but you might end up asking yourself why did you bother? You can
gimmick a box to allow for a peek in other ways, that'd take you about 10 seconds. Of course, those
boxes can't be examined. But how many laypersons would ever think to want to inspect the box
afterwards? The sole purpose of this gimmick is to construct a box that CAN stand up to >some<
scrutiny, without giving away its secret. So if you want to fool a smart crowd, this is a great
item. If you're only interested in fooling laypersons, I'm not sure I'd insist that this is
necessary.
