If you haven't figured out by now, I am a HUGE Andrew Mayne fan. However, I am a close-up magician.
When I found out that Andrew was selling 5 of his original, amazing stage effects in a book for 9
dollars though, how could I possibly reject that offer?
That is exactly what this book is;
a collection of practical, cheap and powerful stage magic. I really have wanted to get into stage
magic for a long time, and this DVD allows me to do JUST that, without spending any money.
Oh, and to quote Andrew at the beginning of the book...
"I'm going to let you in on a
little secret you may or may not be aware of. This is something that I have discussed with fellow
performers as well as observed by myself; your audience doesn't care how much a trick cost OR how
long you spent learning it."
Which is a statement I feel that magicians all to often lose
sight of. Pick up this book and realize that with a couple dollars, you can perform stage illusions
that are as good if not BETTER than on TV.
