This is one of those books that LOOKS like it's really for amateurs and beginners by nature. The cover looks very basic with some hands and cards, and it's even named something that a beginner's book would be named. I noticed though that this is a very advanced book.

The best part about this, is definitely all the essays. There aren't many, but what IS here is great. It's very informative and gives a lot of insight. They were worth the price of the entire book.

As for the actual techniques, methods, and other tricks in here, they aren't too favorable in my opinion. There are a few classic effects in here, some variations etc. But nothing entirely NEW or groundbreaking. You will find a few quick tricks, a few flashy productions or assemblies etc. Don't get me wrong, this is very modern stuff and I'm surprised by it.

Overall, I would say that if you like card magic and have gotten a lot of it down good, this shouldn't be a problem. It was a nice change in pace for me to see and I think you will find that as well. But again, not everything will be performed. Just a little heads up
