For 15 dollars, you are setting your mind on a true miracle. Under test conditions, you can
accomplish an effect with nothing to it.
Like everything Joshua Jay puts out, you know you
are getting a studied effect. He makes it clear though at the beginning that this is NOT his effect.
IN fact, it's his variation of a bunch of different people's ideas. It's just made much simpler and
look better. The sleight of hand can be tricky depending on which method you go for, and Josh
teaches multiple handlings in the DVD
Now the DVD. It's nothing incredible really. He sits
down in a studio with a few other Magicians, and teaches the effect. The performances were great,
and the explanations were thorough.
Finally, the props! What the heck are these? Well, Josh
had these cards specially printed for contrast and over all impossibility. You destroy one each
time, but you get a lot of them, and refills are cheap. However, Josh teaches a packet trick
handling that looks great and is really smooth. You don't destroy any cards in this one.
So
for 15 dollars, you get some high quality gimmicks, and a great DVD. It really IS a steal. Just go
for it if you are considering.
