This effect is great. The only type of person who wouldn't love this effect is the type who tries to
perform this only using the techniques shown in the DVD. Garrett gives an introduction to the idea,
but leaves a lot of the imagination part up to you.
This idea is great. Inspired by a
different gimmick created by Paul Harris, this gimmick is just so clean that it blew me away. The
only real skill that you will need to perform this effect is a side steal. With that you can make a
box cleanly vanish off of the cards allowing you to show the cards from literally any angle while
spread or fanned. On the DVD you are taught one basic way to make the box vanish, and one way to
switch out the gimmicked deck for a regular one. There are still so many effects possible with this
gimmick (one of my personal creations being a card box through suitcase). With a little bit of
imagination and previous knowledge, this effect kills as a full effect or an opener to another
routine.
Paul Harris's box backed deck (box back design on every card) is an entirely
different story and probable could have been sold separately. This effect is just plain great aswell
and is a little more developed on the DVD (he shows you a little more to do with it). It's a great
deal seeing as these box back gimmicks were never meant to be released and only for Paul Harris's
personal use.
