This is a wonderful, simple, yet totally deceiving idea in card magic. As others have said, once you learn it, you will apply it to many tricks and use it for life. It will fool other magicians, and elevate your card tricks (especially those with a mental magic feel) to new levels. For laymen, just make sure they know how to shuffle (although an alternative, slightly less hands off method is presented if they dont)
