This is not a big book. The whole thing is only 27 pages long. However, don't let the small size or "booklet" appearance throw you, there are several top notch effects, with complete routines. I have adapted some of these routines in combination with other routines. For example, one of the Mel Mellers DVDs (Great DVDs by the way) has a knife throwing routine where you have a spectator hold a deck of cards with their chosen card hidden somewhere inside and you pretend you are going to throw the knife at them and have it penetrate the deck and impale the card without hurting the spectator (hopefully). The performer changes course and stabs the card himself without the aid of the spectator. However, the Bill Abbott "Hot Shot Card Stab" is a perfect ending for the knife throwing routine and it keeps the volunteer involved. This effect that is sold separately is thoroughly layed out in the book. Purchasing the separate effect just enables you to get a few props ready to go rather than creating them yourself.
Excellent book (booklet)!
