Francis is a creative guy who thinks deeply about the theatrics of magic. While the theoritical
concepts he brings up arent new per say their use in magic is very uncommon and the way he applies
them is fantastic. This lecture can be magic-changing experience for some particularly the Q&A
section.
The tricks were ranged between good to fantastic. There're some tricks that you
will NOT do due the setup and Francis says this upfront, but seeing the thinking behind what he does
is what he tried to convey. There are tricks that you will perform, ranging from dead easy one to
some harder coin moves. His card-to-mouth is brilliant, makes me want to get his booklet on the
topic right away.
Thats the thing though, many of the tricks were published already
somewhere with the exception of two ( on top of my head ), his restaurant opener is a really good
transpostion between a card and a napkin thats perfect as a first phase of card-under-glass, however
you need a dup to pull it off. Then he goes on into his full restaurant act, which I loved.
Another highlight for me was the way he hands out business cards, such a great an easy way of
magically doing it. Small adjustment to a classic trick makes the thing 200% better.
Loads
of material were covered in this 3-hour-lecture, I'm going to use many material from here and indeed
it clarified lots of theory for me as well.
Highly recommended.
