I want to praise Erik both for creating such a fine effect and for outrageous customer service when
I received a defective gimmick! His email replies were prompt and genuinely concerned. When tech
support failed to resolve the problem, he personally made a new gimmick for me (which works
PERFECTLY!) and mailed it very promptly. I couldn't be happier and I will use the effect very often.
I love it!! Thanks so much again, Erik for meeting all my expectations.
“Tech support”? That’s a joke. You mean Erik himself? I could not of had the complete opposite experience. I bought this and received defective cards. The gift was for my dad, a 93-year-old magician, whose health was failing, so time was of the essence. First I spent hours writing up, detailing what went wrong as I didn’t realize it was just defective cards, (& nothing I was doing) & I sent the most heartfelt note and even my dad, from his bed, wrote a separate note, requesting Assistance from Erik. I offered to pay him to purchase new working cards. I sent video and photos showing how his were defective! Many months later (of receiving no promised replacement cards), I finally decided to just purchase several rubbing sticks/friction sprays and now refuse to do THIS trick out of disdain for the creator. He didn’t stand behind either his product or his promises.
Finally said he was sending something, and it took more emails and many months before finally receiving, at which point, had no desire to even open! Idea behind trick may be good, but product received was very very poorly manufactured. And a heartache it caused was certainly NOT worth a simple magic trick. And again, creator himself was not a nice human with poor customer service. If anyone doubts me, I still have the heartfelt notes!!
Bottom line… The trick didn’t work for me because I received defective cards. If your cards are not defective, you might get a few uses before the coating rubs off & render the trick useless. but I do agree with the post who said that 100% a trick has to do with the creator standing behind it. In this case the creator was horrific and I have dealt with a ton of magicians from all over the world, and almost without exception most have been generous, helpful, and kind. Angrily, Erik was clearly the exception.
