Richard Osterlind's "Two-Faced" is a great utility device that work you can work into tricks you
probably do already, in order to create something unique.
It's been out-of-production (and
out of Penguin stock) for several years, but I'm reviewing it in hopes that this great device will
be resurrected.
Osterlind describes it as being similar to a Himbler Wallet. (I don't think
this qualifies as exposure, as it came from the creator.) But I think it's much better than a
Himbler because it doesn't have those suspicious-looking ribbons surrounding it.
One of the
best parts of Osterlind's book, "Mystique" (which is in Penguin stock), is an innovative mindreading
routine that uses three Two-Faced folders. After trolling a popular auction site for about a year, I
finally acquired three of these. I can't wait to debut the effect at our church's Stone Soup night.
