If you have a pocket (the 'diamond' needs to go somewhere) and can do a decent Elmsley Count, then
you cannot lose with this trick. Women especially like this trick. It's simple and isn't just
visually stunning - it's a physical surprise, as well. The first time I performed this, I had gotten
it just days earlier from a friend of Alan Wong's on his U.S. lecture tour. I had a strolling gig
and decided to work it in. I figured I'd do it once or twice that day. As it turns out, I ended up
doing this trick more than anything else that entire day! People were bringing others to me to have
me perform it for their friends. Ladies were squealing with delight. It was an instant hit and
I've seen some people that were at that gig since and they mention this trick! This is the only
thing that gets greater reactions than my sleight-heavy Coins Across routine.
I almost
didn't write this review because it's so darn good that I don't really want other people performing
it. I want it all to myself. But the truth is, it's a GREAT trick! Again, I would like to stress
that you will need to to an Elmsley Count. There's no work-around on that. I'd say you need to be
able to at least finger palm the diamond...but the truth is, this routine is so good and the
introduction of the diamond is so smooth and completely unexpected, that you could have a baby
elephant deliver the thing directly to you and no one would notice! This trick is awesome!
