Magic Tricks

Let me confess. I am a lazy magician. And I love gimmicks that imitate slight of hand mastery. "Cheek to Cheek" is one of those effects.

There isn't too much to say if you've seen the demo and read the other reviews, but I did take a star off because the deck is not examinable without a deck switch. (And I don't really count that as examinable, because any trick is examinable with a deck switch.)

Careful readers will notice that I said I deducted a star, but still came in with a five-star rating. That is because I added a star for the discount refills offered at a reasonable price. While you don't destoy any cards in this effect, like any, the cards will get worn over time. And it's nice that this is one of the relative few where they don't make you re-purchase the whole thing when this occurs. I will use this one, and and I will at some point avail myself of the discounted replacement deck.

Finally, don't try to cheap out and buy just the deck on your first time. The DVD that comes with this is one of Oz's best, and he covers a lot of nuances that wouldn't occur to you if you bought just the deck and tried to work backwards off the demo.
