Magic Tricks

I got this reel to replace a old one that has seen better days. I ordered it early so I would have time to set it up and get comfortable with it before the 3 shows a day for the next 7 weekends that I have coming up. But when I got it out of the box the dvd was scratched in several places, so deep it would not play on any of the devices I own. The reel itself has some minor scuffs in the paint, nothing that would make me return the gimmick, but damaged nonetheless. So why did I pay so much for something that was that was used and damaged? And I paid extra to have it early. Now I have to spend time jumping through hoops to get the dvd replaced.
