Not often have I been immediately overwhelmed by a book like I have with David Regal's 'Approaching
Magic'. All I can say is to buy it, raise the open side towards the sky, leaving its spine on the
table (it's a 500 page monster head) and flip slowly through the pages from front to back. You will
experience a buzz from doing that alone. You will see passing masterworks that are now at your
disposal, to unfold to the public and make them look at you with the perplex expression you so
desire, wondering if you truly are a wizard or something. You're not of course, you're simply a
magician learning to become one. If Renoir was a magician, he'd been David Regal. I recommend
getting this book while it's still available.
