This effect requires you to be a good storyteller. There are no difficult moves involved (only one
move involved, actually--and it's not hard) so the entire presentation relies on your performance
and ability to hold an audience. The lack of difficult sleight of hand gives you a lot of freedom to
embellish the story presented in the instructions, and that's probably what you'll want to do. The
newspaper clipping looks old, but isn't overly graphic so you could do this for a teen audience if
you had to. You will need to find your own old-looking wine glass to help with misdirection during
the one move involved. It's not required, but it does help add to the atmosphere of the story.
The props are supposed to be antique, but they don't look old at all. The basic design is old,
but only the newspaper clipping would really pass a very casual inspection. The only way this could
be considered a miracle will be only in your presentation. If you don't get into the spirit of the
story (pun intended) you won't sell this as anything more than a trick. If you're willing to get
with it, you can have a fun little spooky effect on your hands.
