ok, since there are no reviews yet I'll go ahead and post one. I just watched the 19-minute video,
have not performed the effect yet, but I LOVE IT ALREADY. I can see how this little and diabolical
idea can totally floor people. In this case the description of the effect is accurate, no misleading
element whatsoever in it. The effect IS impromptu, it uses ungimmicked and unprepared materials, it
is direct and strong, and the method is virtually impossible to detect. You end 100% clean, and you
can give away the packets of sugar as a souvenir. Or you can use them for your coffee!!
The video includes 3 performances and the explanation of the secret. It is well made for this
type of instructional video.
Can't wait to try this effect out!!
"Virtually impossible to detect" - nah - with all due respect, perhaps YOU didn't detect, but I just came home - on about 4 hrs of sleep, after 1 am, and watched the first few mins of the performance on his video, and I "assumed" IMMEDIATELY what he did (and was ultimately right). (Oh, and I'm a novice, amateur hobbyist). I can't do this for friends as any one of them will figure this out in a heartbeat. Seems sophomoric and obvious to me. And I don't even think it's "full proof" - in that seems if the pick up but put down in a manner other than the EXACT way they picked up - they could mess it up. Maybe I'm wrong re this aspect (having played around with it yet) - but you can't control audience's movements of how they manipulate objects. My friends would ABSOLUTLY jiggle all the packets around. In his performance he even suggests doing so (even though his subjects DON'T which is largely why the trick worked for him, without a hitch). Does this trick work? Sure. But it is "virtually impossible to detect" or figure out? Sorry, but HELL NO. (And I'd prefer setting up realistic expectations for any future buyers).
