After putting in an hour's worth of craft work to create the deck gimmick, I sat stunned at how
utterly useless the entire thing was. I created the breathable gimmick so the deck can be freely
handled and shuffled, and when just using the gimmick itself, it works. However, once you add the
remainder of the deck, you get little or no response from the gimmick (and I am using the
Enlightenment PK magnet it suggested). Basically, you can only use about 35 cards (including the 17
in the block gimmick) and still get a reasonable response from the levitation. This is noticeably
not a full deck and severely limits the cards you can allow the spectator to choose.
The
book that comes with the device is not very useful for performance. Almost half the book is filled
with the history of the device, which you'll skip. Next you get about 15 pages detailing the
creation of the gimmick for a deck of cards. Performance is limited to a few rushed paragraphs for
the card levitation and one dollar bill levitation. The stuff you see in the video demo? No idea how
any of that works since he never gives any suggestions for magnet placement other than one that he
never uses in the video.
If you want more details on how to use the device, you can
purchase an e-book. How wonderful. After spending almost a hundred bucks on this, having to craft my
own gimmick, and having to purchase the PK magnet separately, I am given the option of spending more
money to learn the cool ways to use it. No thanks.
The price on this isn't worth the
effect. If you were given the finished gimmick, a DVD with training, and the PK magnet, it would be
worth about half the price. As it stands, spend your money on something else.
