Magic Tricks

I bought the Deluxe Magic Set for my wife for Christmas. She’s a novice at performing magic tricks. At first she was excited to get to get the set, but after opening the box and reading some of the material, as well as trying out the card deck, she became disappointed. To be specific, there’s only one magic card deck (with the common card being the four of hearts), which means that she can only play one trick per person/group before it becomes obvious that it’s a trick deck. Also, the fake thumb used with the vanishing scarf trick is too obviously fake and it’s too big for her thumb. Granted, I was able to perform the trick on family over the holidays with much success, so perhaps the “fakeness” doesn’t matter. I guess overall she just expected more hardware tricks and less pamphlets describing how to perform tricks.
