This is one of the most poorly produced effects I have ever seen since my involvement in magic. The
fact that not one individual involved in this project bothered to correct the typographical errors
is beyond me. The writing is meaningless babble apparently written by a second grader. This one
item was THE item which told me never to buy another Kranzo produced item. It is just pathetic. It
could have been something useful if a modicum of effort was put into it. There are other choices of
magazine tests other than this which would be a better buy.
I think Nate's "No Smoking Zone" has that one beat. I also told myself, self "I will never buy another Kranzo product" but then he has some stuff that s truly brilliant. He is one of my fsvorite magicians though, I love his laid bck style.
Despite the typos, despite the babble, I have performed Tru Test dozens and dozens of times and gotten fantastic results even booked other shows because of the impact this trick has on the audience.
Properly presented, none of the “flaws” mentioned in this post make any difference at all. I have the audience tear their page into little pieces and select one word, it’s so random and so fair that it seems impossible. Like any effect it’s all about presentation. Nate has put this on the market because it’s a worker.
This is a killer effect. As always, your mileage may vary.
