I really would like to like this one, but there is a couple of cons that make this trick bad.
First of all, the props. Some bad angles that rely on the properties of the coin, the glass
(That why "ALMOST" any coin or glass) AND your hands. Second, the technique. Not at all polished.
The first one is extreme unpractical as a whole move for this kind of "work". There are a lot better
moves than this one. The second, it's ok, but i have seen elsewhere with better handling.
These
two points make the good "idea" of the trick not work as a surefire. For the camera, great. For
everyday use, not at all.
I really think you should be looking other places for this kind of
trick. Filter by Rick Lax will give you better food for thought. It's one of the best Coin Through
Glass routines that you will encounter.
Hello, Lucas!
Mike is here... I'm really sad that you didn't like this trick! But it is not so bad, as a fact! I've shown this effect to multiple people and got the right reactions. You are right - this effect has some bad angles, but not so much.
Also I have to say, that I'm a great fan of Rick Lax and his impromptu magic! And I don't think it's right to compare "Fair Coin" and "Filter", because these are completely different methods! Personally in my trick the signed coin is REALLY inside the glass, but not the ILLUSION of penetration...
Anyway, thanx for your opinion. I'll try to do better next time!
