Magic Tricks

Look, I love learning new tricks at lectures ( Tannens, Fantasma or Penguin Live ) but there comes a point were you want to get beyond the strictly hobby level. Shimshi delivered on that, BIG TIME!

For restaurant work, I wish I had a nickel for every "Pro" that gave a formula to offer a free night to try you out, how much to charge and to make sure to ask for a meal Good luck following that advice if you like massive rejection, because 99% of them will turn you down.

Shimshi tipped a different technique for getting restaurant work and guess what? IT WORKS! I went to an upscale Brooklyn restaurant today and asked for the GM, made my pitch and I got the job. I did only one trick ( SPUN by Morgan Strebler ). I'll work Fri and Sat nights.

I went in and did exactly what Shimshi said to do and I got the gig. No offer for a free night to try me out, no begging for a meal, etc. I was shocked how easy this is.

Shimshi also taught his bread and butter credit card trick and an incredible color change ( which Dia Vernon said was one of the best tricks you could do for laymen ).
