I am a lifetime magician but I am also a well educated hypnotist with over 25 years of experience.
This video and Brandon's teaching is not complete in any way. While the teaching of the swallowing
demonstration may be adequate, the memory or name loss part is not sufficient in any way and will
not be helpful to anyone other than those that already understand hypnosis. I would not recommend
this video to anyone. here is the thing if you do not have any knowledge of hypnosis what Brandon
teaches will not be enough and if you are a hypnotist his teaching will not have any value. At the
price this sells for you would be better off to invest $13.00 more and find a copy of Ormand
McGill's book on Professional Stage Hypnotism from which you will be able to learn and perform
multiple demonstrations and fully understand how and why they work. On another note as a
professional entertainer I can not understand why in the world Brandon would shoot parts of this
video while sick, be coughing on his hands and then be touching someones neck, at the very least why
not retake those shots. Don't buy this, get Ormand's book for just a little more or if DVD is your
thing some other more complete video. Although pricey Manchurian Candidate or Trilby Connection are
very good and will give you all you need to do whatever you want with "street hypnosis" and
suggestibility tests. By investing a bit more money and time you will really learn how to do
hypnotic demonstrations, using what is on Brandon's video you will be almost guaranteed to fail,
especially with the forgetting your name demonstration.
What is a lifetime magician? How does that differ from a professional magician? Does that mean you've spent a lifetime reading and only imagine yourself performing?
I'm skeptical of your credentials to be making assertions about this product. I've read all of your book recommendations and dvd recommendations and none of them teach how to achieve name amnesia without trance or inductions. Ormand McGill is a terrible writer, and the information is outdated. His language during his inductions and suggestions are repetitive and redundant and are not necessary to have successful results in hypnotic phenomena. The idea of using chloroform on both animals and on people is extremely illegal, immoral and dangerous, and you recommend this book? How will this book teach me how to make someone forget how to swallow and then forget their own name without a hypnotic induction?
I give this review one star. It's terrible. I don't recommend this review because it's uninformative and lacks true information and is posted by an anonymous person who is unqualified.
