OK, I haven't tried this yet. Here's why: You need a gaffed wallet OR some other effects (gaffed
envelopes, boxes, etc.) sold separately, to end the effect. I don't happen to own any of those
particular items suggested by Mr. Fisher.
I don't mind buying what I need for what
appears to be a great routine, BUT Penguin is not up front about that. I even asked the question up
front and got a non-answer so I gambled and bought the routine. The specific wallet used by Mr.
Fisher is no longer made from what I can tell; it certainly isn't available here. (Is Camirand still
in buisness?) The other items are available, but hard to tell which might suit my needs best since
I've never seen them performed, have to track them down and way cost/effect/style trade-offs to the
presentation.
Also, this is just a printed .PDF of Mr. Fisher's routine. It even refers to
itself as a .pdf. (No editing prior to printing...a fair number of typos, too.) The pictures are in
black & white and not well printed. You would be better off with the original PDF so you can see
the pictures better on your computer.
We are buying the idea(s), the routine, the jokes,
etc. I GET IT. But buyer should know production values are low. Also, as Mr. Fisher acknowledges,
none of the jokes are really new or all that creative. However, I have no doubt this routine kills
in Mr. Fisher's hands, and I expect I can make good use of it as well. I believe this routine is a
"worker" and rated it accordingly. If there were a place to rate Penguin's honesty with a long-term
frequent and loyal customer I would give 1 star.
