The trick itself is good, can't fault it. Does require some audience management though which could
prove difficult in a busy bar situation.
But when the description says 'totally imprompu...
no setup' and then the first thing the video teaches you is the setup. You can see why i'm annoyed
slightly.
It's true Bullseye does require a setup and a bit of audience management.
The setup up takes 2-3 seconds and requires nothing more than your two hands, a deck of card and a dart.
I've never found the audience management difficult especially considering I'm holding a sharp object. "You may not want to stand on this side it won't be safe"
As I mention in the demo Bullseye isn't one of those effects you will do all the time but when the time and venue are right this is a solid reputation maker.
Thanks for the reply.
I do think in the right situation i might give this a go, although practicing this could prove tricky :P
Again thank you for replying, good work with this effect :)
I'd like to add a couple pennies to this thread. I do use this affect to close every single one of my shows, because it get such a great organic reaction and it is a strong finish plus on stage you have the ability to control every angle. And technically if you look at how the set up is done it is impromptu, Brent and I have discussed this before you're perfectly capable of setting it up as you're taking back the deck of cards.I think this effect is so strong I even used it when auditioning for America's got talent. Not making any excuses for not making the show but to be honest when they came to Charlotte North Carolina I am to assume they were looking for the spoon talent center because everyone made the show for Charlotte that season where the acts the show made fun of. Regardless the panel that was judging at the audition applauded the magic moment. From what I understand they are normally not supposed to give reaction.
I'm GLAD that America's Got Talent was WON by a talented MAGICIAN.
JUST SAYING
PICASSO
no offence but that was very rude Picasso and please shut up.
How was that rude? It was irrelevant and pointless, but not rude. You telling him to shut up was in fact quite rude. And for the record Mat Franco wasn't a very talented magician. He performed beginner magic. He won for his excellent presentation and showmanship. Not for his magic. Except for the paint card trick and the seat trick with the phone. Those two were good.
Surely this has been said many times it's not the trick but the way it's presented ( showmanship )
Does this require metal tipped darts or does plastic tips work as well? Most bars have plastic tips and maybe one to three metal tip dart boards.
How are you going to pierce the card with a plastic tip?
